Fiona Stevenson—better known as Fiona the Knitter in her home of Newboro, ON - is a playful, passionate Canadian knitwear designer and fibre arts teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and yarn in her DNA. Born and raised in Stittsville, Ontario, Fiona has stitched her way across Canada, living and creating from coast to coast to coast

She’s the creative force behind Rideau Lakes Stitch Social, the Ontario East Fibre Festival, Newboro Fibre Festival, and the cozy, community favourite Sheepover Retreats. Her designs, featured by indie hand dyers like Fleece Artist & Handmaiden Yarns and Fergus Yarn Co., celebrate traditional Canadian knitting with a modern, fun twist.
